TransLoc tracks fixed-route vehicles and helps passengers plan trips. SHARE handles the full operational lifecycle: booking, routing, dispatch, driver management, and reporting, across multiple transit models from a single platform.
An honest look at the criteria that matter most during evaluation. Rows are only included where we have reliable, verifiable information about both platforms.

TransLoc is a capable monitoring tool for fixed-route transit. These are the areas where SHARE's operational model is fundamentally different.
TransLoc tells you where your vehicles are. SHARE manages the entire trip: from booking through driver assignment, real-time dispatch, completion, and reporting. That is a different product category. See the dispatch dashboard.
SHARE runs municipal on-demand, NEMT, paratransit, employer shuttles, and fleet programs side by side in a single instance. TransLoc is primarily architected for fixed-route agency monitoring.
SHARE dispatches trips to specific drivers with no accept/decline. Operators control who runs each trip and the service guarantee that comes with it. That is a fundamentally different operational model than AVL monitoring. See microtransit in action.
TransLoc is part of Modaxo alongside TripSpark and Trapeze. Product decisions flow through a portfolio management layer, not an operator-focused product team. SHARE is independent. Feature priorities come from operators.
"The ease of communication and automation took operational pressure off our team and allowed us to focus on delivering consistent, high-quality service. Overall, SHARE made our transportation program more efficient and scalable. Their team is responsive, helpful, and their platform is exceptionally easy to navigate!"
